WESTERN COPPER AND GOLD LOGO AND BRAND IDENTITY
CC’d: thanks that whenever we can introduce a bit of craft into the creative process, it’s a win for everybody involved. In Coastlines design of Western Copper and Gold’s brand identity, the client asked the team to take inspiration from a hand drawn illustration of the “Raven and the Wolf.” Our rendition, which reworks a vintage illustration to give it a contemporary, on-brand aesthetic, pays tribute to the rich cultural heritage of Western’s geographical headquarters.
As part of the project, we set out to discover how colour and typefaces could support the essence of the logo mark. Once we had created the various elements of the visual platform, we were able to create the new logo, and make it functional enough to be seen in various applications.
CC’d: features the logo on the new presentation folder where it appears embossed with a clear foil treatment applied to the background graphic. Since brand launch in late 2011, we’ve created a suite of investor collateral such as exhibit assets to help communicate their unique positioning as a diversified resource company to a global audience. | www.westerncopperandgold.com
